About Me

Wing Ho

I have relocated from the United Kingdom to Hong Kong to pursue a career in user experience (UX) design.

I have over five years of experience in the customer service sector, which has honed my interpersonal skills and deepened my understanding of user needs.

Additionally, my background in visual design equips me with the necessary skills to effectively apply in the UX design field.

I am looking forward to contribute positively and assist in shaping user experiences in Hong Kong :).

Hobbies & Interests

Triathlon & Endurance sports

In 2024, I finished a half Ironman race, which was an incredible but challenging experience.

It taught me so much about myself.

I dedicated a whole year to building a disciplined lifestyle, discovering the resilience and grit I didn’t know I had, and gaining the confidence to believe I can achieve great things if I just go for it.

I will definitely be interested in doing more endurance races in the future, it is also a great way to keep me in good shape and help me mentally rejuvanted.

Road Cycling

As a cycling fan, I enjoy riding my bike 2-3 times a week as a way to stay active, meditate, and challenge myself physically. I always try to improve my speed or keep up with the faster riders in my club.

I’ve also learned to fix bikes, helping dozens of people with their maintenance.

In 2023-2024, I teamed up with a partner to try and launch a cycling brand (we had to end the project later). I designed the brands identity and played a key role in making decisions of the prototype.

It was a fantastic experience, and it taught me how tough it can be to start and run a business from the ground.

Learning my roots

As a BBC (British-born Chinese), I spent my childhood listening and speaking Cantonese with my parents, but I never really dedicated myself to learning how to read the characters.

I have been experimenting with different methods to recognize Chinese characters, using learning apps on my mobile devices and music videos with the lyrics displayed so I can follow along with the song.

I’m really hoping to be able to read everyday things, like menus, which would be a fantastic first step. Eventually, I’d love to be able to understand a newspaper article.
